Kitchen Remodeling

A kitchen is four trades working in the same room in the right order. When that sequence slips, the schedule doubles. We plan it before demolition and hold the crews to it.

Scope

What the work includes

Layout and workflow

Sink, range, and refrigerator placed around how you actually cook and clean up.

Cabinetry and counters

Ordered early, measured twice, and installed level on walls we corrected first.

Electrical brought current

Dedicated circuits, code-required outlets, and lighting on separate switching.

Plumbing and gas

Relocations planned in the drawing, permitted, and inspected.

Ventilation

A hood sized to the range and ducted outside, with makeup air where required.

Flooring and trim

Continuous into adjacent rooms so the kitchen does not read as a patch.

How we approach it

Order of operations, not decoration.

Cabinets have lead times, inspections have queues, and countertop templating cannot happen until the boxes are set. We build the schedule backwards from those fixed points so the crews arrive to work that is ready for them.

  • Cabinets ordered before demolition begins
  • Rough inspections booked at the start of the job
  • Counters templated the day boxes are level
  • A written punch list walked with you at the end
Common questions

What homeowners ask first.

Anything not answered here, call Tim directly at 313.236.0985.

Can we use the kitchen during the remodel?

No, but we set up a temporary kitchen with the refrigerator, microwave, and sink access wherever it makes sense.

Who orders the cabinets?

We do, from the specs you approve. Ordering early is the single biggest schedule protection.

Will you move a wall to open it up?

Often yes. If the wall is load bearing we bring in engineering and price the beam separately.

What drives the price most?

Cabinetry, then whether plumbing and gas lines move. Finishes matter less than people expect.
